The Advanced Bundle Station (ABS) is a
module for the aggregation of bundles within
the Track & Trace process. A high resolution
camera reads the 2D codes of all folded
boxes in a complete bundle – even through
the foil. Codes are verfied, and the allocation
of the folded box to the bundle is recorded
and registered in an internal database. The
bundle is marked with a unique serial num-
ber – either by direct print on the bundle or
through the application of a printed label by
an independent packaging unit.

of Shipping Cases
The Shipping Case Station (SCS) is the
module for the aggregation of shipping
cases within the Track & Trace process and
ensures transparency in the pharmaceuti-
cal packaging process. The high-resolution
camera reads the 1D and 2D codes on all
single folding boxes or bundles of a com-
plete shipping case. The allocation of the
folding box or bundle to the shipping case
will be recorded and registered in an external
database. The shipping case is marked with
a unique serial number either by a direct
printing or by the application of a printed la-
bel through an independent packaging unit.

ensures high process reliability as all pack-
aging units are already placed inside the
shipping case.
Manual Aggregation Station (MAS)

Marking and Labeling – for Complete
Traceability
The Track & Trace portfolio is completed by
the Manual Aggregation Station (MAS). The
MAS is designed for manual aggregation of
boxes up to bundles, cartons and pallets and
provides conformance with Track & Trace
labeling. The MAS comprises of a scanner,
printing system and Pilot Line Manager (PLM)
allowing operation to take place at different
positions down the line. The MAS is designed
as stand-alone system to offer an optimum
solution for the individual requirements of
packaging lines. This ensures the maximum
flexibility for the last aggregation step. The
self-contained design ensures the system is
ready for use without delays in production.
Integration into existing lines is made pos-
sible with the PLM.
